Cursor Issue Troubleshooting

When using iClick to control iOS devices, you may encounter some cursor-related issues. This article lists common problems and their solutions.

Common Issues

1. Mouse Pointer Moves in Opposite Direction

Problem Description:

  • Moving mouse right, cursor moves left
  • Moving mouse up, cursor moves down

Cause: iPhone screen auto-rotation causing coordinate system misalignment.

Solution Steps

  1. Pull down iPhone Control Center
  2. Find the Portrait Orientation Lock icon (lock icon)
  3. Tap to enable, lock screen orientation, and prevent auto-rotation to restore normal operation.

2. Mouse Movement Distance Inaccurate

Problem Description:

  • Moving mouse a certain distance, cursor moves too fast or too slow

Cause: iPhone AssistiveTouch tracking sensitivity settings are incorrect.

Solution:

  1. Open iPhone Settings, go to AccessibilityTouchAssistiveTouch
  2. Scroll down to find Tracking Speed
  3. Drag slider all the way to the right (highest sensitivity)
  4. After setting, restart screen mirroring or reset mouse to restore normal operation

If still not normal:

You may have accidentally set system trackpad/mouse sensitivity:

Check Other Settings

  1. Open iPhone Settings, go to GeneralTrackpad & Mouse
  2. Check sensitivity settings, restore to default values

3. Can Click but Cannot Swipe

Problem Description:

  • Click operations work normally but cannot perform swipe, drag, and other gesture operations

Cause: Touch gesture function is disabled.

Solution:

Solution Steps

  1. Open iPhone Settings, go to AccessibilityTouchAssistiveTouch
  2. Scroll down to find Touch Gestures and enable this option

This feature should be enabled by default. If disabled, it will prevent swipe and other gesture operations.


4. Mouse Pointer Style Issues

Problem Description:

  • Mouse pointer too large or too small
  • Pointer color unsuitable, difficult to identify

Solution:

Solution Steps

  1. Open iPhone Settings, go to AccessibilityPointer

Default settings are fine. If accidentally adjusted, restore manually.

Ultimate Solution

If you're not familiar with these features and have previously messed up settings for some reason, making the problem complex and difficult to troubleshoot, resetting the iPhone is the best solution.
