USB Hub
When you need to control multiple iOS devices simultaneously, your host machine's USB ports may not be sufficient. In this case, you need a USB hub to expand the number of ports.
Why You Need a Hub
Each iOS device needs to be connected to the host machine's USB port through virtual keyboard and mouse hardware. When controlling multiple devices:
- 2-3 devices: Some computers' built-in USB ports may be sufficient
- 4 or more devices: Usually require additional USB ports
Power Supply Recommendation
Even if your computer has enough USB ports, we still recommend using a hub with independent power supply.
Reason: Computer motherboard USB power supply capacity is limited. When multiple virtual keyboard and mouse hardware devices work simultaneously, it may cause insufficient motherboard power supply, affecting stability.
Selection Points
Must Choose Hub with Independent Power Supply
Regular unpowered hubs will cause:
- ❌ Insufficient power, devices unable to work properly
- ❌ Devices frequently disconnect or fail to be recognized
- ❌ Virtual keyboard and mouse hardware unstable operation
Troubleshooting
Problem: Frequent device disconnection
- Check if hub power supply is working properly
- Confirm using a hub with independent power supply
- Try replacing the hub or reducing the number of connected devices
Problem: Device not recognized
- Check if USB cables are damaged or loose
- Try other ports on the hub
- Restart computer and hub
Problem: Hub overheating
- Reduce the number of simultaneously connected devices
- Improve the hub's cooling environment
- Consider using a hub with a cooling fan
